Cinnamon sugar anything is my jam and these cookies do not disappoint. It's funny how something so simple is so freakin' good. They're sugary, sweet, and soft. The perfect cookie for any occasion.
This particular night, I completely forgot that I have a party tomorrow and I can't go anywhere empty handed. These did the trick and were easy to throw together!
3 1⁄2 cups flour
1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
1⁄2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1⁄4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
Sugar Topping (mixed together, set to the side)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons sugar
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. - Sift flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar together in large bowl. - Mix sugar and butter together until fluffy. Add in the milk, vanilla, and eggs. - Pour the dry ingredients in with the wet and mix until well combined. - Using a tablespoon, scoop out one ball and roll it in your hands. Then roll it in the sugar cinnamon mixture until covered. - Once you’ve gotten 12 on your cookie sheet, using your hand, flatten them. - Bake for about 7-8 mins. Be careful not to burn! - Let sit on cookie sheet for 2 mins then transfer to cooling rack.
